"Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples." Psalm 96:2 & 3
At San Marcos Community Church worship through music plays a pivotal role. Songs of worship are core to Sunday gatherings as well as Mini-Churches, Youth, and Children's meetings. The music is both contemporary and traditional.
What about "style" of music?
San Marcos Community Church strives to incorporate all kinds of styles and tastes but always remembering that worship is for and to the Lord and that people can worship Him in spite of personal preference or background. Music is simply a powerful and historic means of connecting the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Worship Expression
The Bible speaks clearly that there is no end to the varied expressions of worship. Singing, shouting, lifting of hands, clapping, dancing, bowing, and kneeling in reverence are all found throughout the Biblical history of God's people.
As Pastor Mike Pilavachi from the United Kingdom said, "The heart of worship is and always has been blessing Him, coming in to intimacy with Him, giving to Him. He is the center of worship and how dare we ever make us the center."
